Prep

Prime
Once your skin has been prepped you’re ready to prime. Make sure your moisturiser has been completely absorbed before you apply your primer. Your primer will create an invisible layer that acts as a buffer to outside elements, leaving your makeup looking fresh and colour-true the entire day.
I use and recommend Laura Mercier Radiance Primer, a lightweight, creamy gel with an universal pearl tint creating a soft-focus effect to visibly minimize the look of imperfections. It contains vitamins A, C and E, antioxidants that protect the skin from harmful, aging effects of the environment.
Perfect
You are now ready to perfect!
Try before you buy! Finding the perfect base can be tricky, don’t be afraid to try on the base makeup or ask for a sample or a colour match before you make a purchase!
Foundations and tinted moisturisers should be colour matched either on your jaw line or the centre of the face dependent on your skin colour. Concealers should either be a perfect skin match or a shade lighter.
I love to let my Secret Camouflage and Secret Concealer by Laura Mercier do most of the work, then I use the Skeyndor CC cream to even out the rest of my skin tone, that way my skin never feels cakey!
Set your makeup with a lightweight translucent power for a ‘no powder look’ I use Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder under my eyes to set my concealer whilst adding a lightning boost.
